Sheets missing in excel for mac

The code base of Excel for Mac and Windows is the same. Get and transform functions in Excel for Mac, but the graphical user interface is incomplete. Get and Transform functions only works for Windows? You can pull external Excel File data directly into a PivotTable on a Mac. Is true that you cannot pull external EXCEL FILE data into a pivot table on a Mac?
